My surroundings inspire me, as do my experiences between cultures. I was born in Nepal, but grew up in the United States, and moved back during my teenage years. Differing societal practices left me feeling misplaced in the identity I held. My art allows me to develop a coexisting relationship between the two backgrounds. My primary medium is graphite. I find narrative and figurative work evocative and repeating motifs all ways that help me guide my audience into my art. The Maximalist attribute that come off in my work I feel is a reflection of the art I was exposed to in Nepal. These I believe influenced the quiet but provoking images, strive to fully resolve pieces, pushing myself through the creative process to develop a sense of depth within my work.
